Subscriber Service Agreement

Service Terms

Contract Duration

  • Initial term begins on the first day of the month following installation and ends on the last day of that month
  • Service term is one (1) year from the activation date
  • Service is pre-pay on a monthly basis

Payment Terms

  • Pre-pay customers: Provide one month notice for service termination
  • Post-pay customers: Deposit equivalent to 2 months of service required + Provide two months notice for termination

Service Rates & Pricing

  • Rates: As specified in your Service Order/Contract
  • Service Fees: You are responsible for paying service fees according to the base prices on your most recent Service Order
  • Commencement Date: Rates commence on the date the connection is activated

  • PAYBILL NUMBER: 4098415
    ACCOUNT NUMBER: MHB
  • Bank Transfer: Before end of month
  • Cheques: Accepted for amounts over Ksh 20,000

Important Payment Terms

  • Installation payment due on day of installation
  • Post-pay customers: 2-month deposit required
  • Payment confirmation(s) sent to company for crediting

Late Payment Policy

Installation & Equipment

Customer Assets (fixed wireless clients)

  • Router
  • Network cabling
  • Pole and mounting structure
  • PoE (Power over Ethernet adapter)

Provider Assets

  • Antenna
  • Network infrastructure
  • Backbone connectivity

Installation Fees

  • Apartments/Offices: FREE installation but client pays for router
  • Standalone Houses: Ksh 2,500 (includes cables, pole if needed, clients pays for router)
  • Router Fee: Ksh 2,000
  • Relocation: Ksh 1,500 within network region

Upon Termination

All equipment must be returned to Maisha Home Broadband. Removal and collection will be handled by our technicians.

Service Termination

Grounds for Immediate Termination

  • Using service for fraud, pornography, or public disturbance
  • Piracy or cybercrime activities
  • Attempting to obtain service through fraudulent means
  • Customer reselling our internet service without express consent from the company
  • Customer trying to hack customer infrastructure or systems
  • Any violation of applicable laws

Legal Consequences

Service termination for illegal activities will be followed by legal proceedings in accordance with applicable laws.

Customer Rights & Obligations

Customer Obligations

  • Use service only for intended lawful purposes
  • Not permit others to use your service without authorization
  • Not interfere with network service to other customers
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Protect your account credentials and login information

Service Disclaimer

Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your activity online and for complying with all laws.

No Content Liability: Maisha Home Broadband is not responsible for any content, data, or damages resulting from your use of the service.

Service Interruptions: We do not provide compensation for Internet loss caused by factors outside our control (e.g., fiber cuts, power grid issues, or government directives).

Prohibited Activities

  • Network Interference

    Using services in a manner that interferes with or disrupts the network service to other customers or authorized users

  • Unauthorized Access

    Accessing, altering, or destroying any information of Maisha Home Broadband by fraudulent means or without authorization

  • Illegal Activities

    Using the service in violation of law or in aid of any unlawful act or activity

Agreement Acceptance

By using Maisha Home Broadband services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions contained in this Subscriber Agreement.
